A few quick notes before you dive in…
The EX15 gpx will be uploaded by 21:00 hours. After a ride this afternoon we decided to tweak a few things. Pay attention to the where we placed the start point for the EX15. It’s north of the HOB, but go ahead and still park at the HOB. You can start your device when you meet the route. Oh, and enjoy the last 8 miles.. in Hill Street. There’s one EX15 file for the fat bike, snowshoe, and IQ Test this year (remember for the IQ Test you have to ride the route in one direction and snowshoe it the other).
The EX30 gpx is good to go. You should be able to download it now. We have one EX30 file for the fat bike, snowshoe, and Duathlon for Dummies (remember for the DD you have to ride the route in one direction and snowshoe it the other). Just a forewarning… Black Trail might no be groomed yet. Last time we looked it wasn’t.
Ok… GO.
It’s time to push our bikes through the snow (again). Polar Roll-EX opens Sunday. If you haven’t signed up yet don’t worry… you can anytime from now until March 15.
We’ve developed a field manual that contains everything you need to know before you roll. Make sure to download a copy and do your homework. You will find the passport download and gpx files at the bottom of this page.

Polar Roll is a self-supported event. That means you are on your own. We do not offer aid stations. You won’t find happy volunteers on course with a drink for you. You must obey the rules of the road (and trail). You must use a GPS whether you’re doing the EX or MS. We do not sign the EX courses. We do sign the MS but there’s no guarantee someone won’t mess with em, the wind won’t blow them down, or that we’ll get a couple feet of snow. You need to be prepared. If you’re not prepared it might be better to stay home. In the event of an emergency dial 911.
DOUBLE THE PLEASURE, DOUBLE THE FUN

A WORD ABOUT STRAVA AND GPX-FILES
Strava is a great tool for uploading and sharing your rides. It’s not as great when ya upload a route file from us. Bottom line: Strava breaks routes and gives ya bad information (sometimes). We’re not telling you to stop using Strava… use it. We do too. Just watch for weird or broken lines.
When you’re ready to put the gpx on your device upload the file you got from this site, not something you downloaded from Strava. Trust us on this one.

WEEKLY UPDATES.
We’ll be providing weekly updates from now until March 15. We post em’ by Monday or Tuesday. We will post a blog on the newsfeed (website), we will share the blog post in the Polar Roll Facebook group, and we will email you the link through Bike Reg. From there it’s on you. We can’t guarantee you’ll get the email. We can’t guarantee if you do that you’ll read it. You gotta find the info you need and if ya can’t get ahold of us.
ENOUGH TALK. TIME TO ROLL. GET THE GPX AND FIELD MANUAL BELOW.
